Winter 2012
Volume 13, Number 4
In November, I joined Seabolt Brokers in Savannah. After 18 years with Cora Bett Thomas Realty, it was not an easy decision, but, after weighing all the pros and cons, it was definitely the right one.
Elaine Seabolt had been the managing broker at CBT Realty until 2006. We had a solid working relationship there which quickly blossomed into a deep friendship. I know those bonds will only grow stronger.
My sister, Deb Smith, who has been my indispensable assistant for the last six years, is still with me and, together, we wish you and yours a Happy, Happy New Year.
In 2006 Elaine joined forces with Harry Norman, Realtors, Atlanta’s oldest and most respected real estate firm.
That partnership gives local agents access to the nation’s second-largest residential real estate firm with brokerage operations in 19 states and more than 21,000 sales associates nationwide.
Elaine is committed to providing both buyers and sellers the comfort and expertise of ethical, service-oriented and knowledgeable real estate professionals.
Equally important, her agents have access to the most sophisticated resources available today. Trained with cutting-edge, technology-based continuing education and career advancement opportunities through the Harry Norman affiliation, her agents can choose among a wide array of support services and business tools that keep her business at the forefront of our industry.
Because the company’s commitment is to be the leader in real estate, her business thrives in a highly competitive market. Customers will always favor companies that can understand and tailor real estate sales to a host of specialized needs, which are often driven by technology.
I invite you to visit us at our office located at 1015 Whitaker St. or online at seaboltbrokers.com.

Seabolt Brokers Now a Christie's Affiliate
Christie’s International Real Estate, a leading global luxury real estate network, has named Seabolt Brokers LLC as its exclusive affiliate for extraordinary properties in Savannah and the surrounding Lowcountry.
Through a system of advertising, marketing and listing tools, Christie’s provides access to a global audience. Properties are showcased in Christie’s International Real Estate, in custom-designed property brochures distributed worldwide, on the Christie’s International Real Estate Web site and in such publications as The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal.
“Seabolt marks the second brokerage affiliated with Harry Norman Realtors to gain admittance to our network of luxury specialists just this year,” said Rick Moeser, senior vice president of Christie’s
“That speaks volumes of the high esteem with which we hold Harry Norman, our valued affiliate since 2007, and all of its associated businesses. It also speaks to the company’s endorsement of the programs and services of Christie’s International Real Estate.”
Earlier this month, Seabolt Brokers was named to the board of Regents, the governing body of the Who’s Who in Luxury Real Estate network.
Only one firm is chosen in each market.

Decorating the Square
On December 3, John and neighbors pitched in to decorate Troup Square with greens provided by the city and with red bows and ribbons that Dean and Gloria Horstman had stored in their basement from the year before.
It will all come down December 31 and go back into storage for Christmas 2012.

2012 Polar Bear Plunge at Tybee
On New Year's day, over 2,000 stalwarts, young and old, crowded south of the Pavilion for the annual Polar Bear Plunge. The weather was ideal: bright sunshine and a temperature near 70. The sponsor, the Tybee Post Theater was hoping to set a Guinness World record for the number of participants wearing swimming caps and they did, unofficially. They also raised $50,000 for the Post Theater.
